Our Mission
Longfellow Legacy Foundation is dedicated to funding Longfellow Elementary School’s educational needs by engaging and empowering the support and partnerships of parents, Alumni and the community at large.
Our Vision
Longfellow Legacy Foundation is working for the next generation of leaders not just to meet the current standards of education but to exceed them. Longfellow Legacy is striving to create excitement and drive so that each one of our Lions senses that higher learning is within their grasp. Every child deserves the best in education and Longfellow Legacy is making sure that it happens.
Our Goal
Longfellow Legacy Foundation's primary goal is to fully fund both the After-School Tutoring and Chorale Music Programs. Recent budget cuts have frozen the After-School Tutoring Program altogether and the Chorale Music Program is in jeopardy of losing its funding for the 2009/2010 school year.
Our Commitment
Longfellow Legacy Foundation's commitment is a long term one. Despite the many challenges it may face, our Foundation understands the necessity of community engagement and the importance of early childhood education and how it translates to every child's future.
